Professional Standards
Agreement.

Read and agree to these standards before submitting your application. These are non-negotiable requirements for all Noir & Neat contractors.

01
Uniform Standard
All Noir & Neat cleaners must arrive to every job in all-black professional attire — black top, black pants or leggings, and clean black shoes. This is non-negotiable and applies to every visit without exception. Failure to comply may result in job cancellation without pay.
02
GPS Check-In & Check-Out
You must GPS check in upon arrival at every job through the Noir & Neat contractor app. GPS check-out is required when the job is marked complete. Failure to GPS check in may result in non-payment for that service.
03
Photo Documentation
Before and after photos must be submitted through the app for every job. A minimum of 8 before photos and 8 after photos is required, covering all major areas of the clean.
04
Client Communication
All client communication must go through the Noir & Neat platform. Do not share personal contact information with clients.
05
Quality Standards
Maintain a minimum 4.5 star client rating. Three consecutive low ratings may result in temporary suspension pending quality review.
06
Independent Contractor Status
You are an independent contractor, not an employee of Noir & Neat Cleaning Co.™ You are responsible for your own taxes. Noir & Neat handles client acquisition, booking, and payment processing.
07
🎉 Event Cleanup — Discretion & Conduct
This clause applies ONLY if you accept Event Cleanup jobs. While present at any event (before, during, or after), you must maintain complete discretion: do not photograph or record guests, the event, or the home for personal use; do not engage in extended conversation with guests; do not consume alcohol, food, or beverages from the event under any circumstances; do not bring uninvited family, friends, or other workers to the property. Guest lists, conversations overheard, and anything seen at the event are confidential — sharing them with anyone (including on social media) is grounds for immediate termination of your contractor relationship.
08
🎉 Event Cleanup — Late-Night & Safety Acknowledgment
If you opt into evening or same-night shifts (10pm–2am), you acknowledge that you are voluntarily accepting work during late-night hours. You confirm that you have reliable transportation home after these shifts, that you will not drive impaired or excessively fatigued, and that you understand events may involve alcohol-consuming guests. If at any point you feel unsafe at an event site, you have the right to leave immediately, contact dispatch (832-398-3087), and you will still be paid in full for that job. Noir & Neat will document the incident and decline future bookings from that client.
09
🎉 Event Cleanup — Premium Pay Structure
Event Cleanup jobs follow a different pay structure than standard cleans: Before-event prep and standard-window after-event jobs pay 70% of the booking. Same-night after-event jobs (10pm–2am arrival) pay 80% of the booking as a night premium. During-event staffing pays $55 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, regardless of booking total. All tips remain 100% yours. After completing 10 event jobs with an average client rating of 4.5 or higher, you earn Event Specialist status, which grants priority dispatch on premium event bookings.
10
🎉 Event Cleanup — SOP Compliance
Before accepting your first Event Cleanup job, you are required to read the Event Cleanup Protocol appendix in the Standard Operating Procedures document. Event jobs have stricter rules than standard cleans. Repeated violations of these protocols, or any single egregious violation (alcohol consumption, photographing guests, sharing event details), result in immediate removal from the Event Specialist track and may result in termination of your contractor relationship with Noir & Neat.

⚠ Non-Solicitation & Non-Circumvention — Read Carefully
Every client you meet through Noir & Neat is a client of Noir & Neat — not yours. We invest heavily to find, vet, insure, and deliver each client to your schedule. Taking that relationship off-platform is theft of the company's most valuable asset, and we treat it that way.
What is strictly prohibited
  • Accepting, soliciting, arranging, or performing ANY cleaning or related work for a Noir & Neat client outside the platform — whether you approached them or they approached you.
  • Giving a client your personal phone number, payment handle (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle), or business card to book around the company.
  • Accepting cash or any side arrangement to skip the platform.
  • Continuing to clean for a former Noir & Neat client privately after you leave the company, for 24 months after your last assigned job with that client.
What it costs you if you do

If you circumvent the platform with a Noir & Neat client, you agree to pay Noir & Neat liquidated damages of $3,500 per client, per occurrence. This figure is a good-faith estimate of what it costs the company to recruit, vet, background-check, train, and replace the lost client relationship.

In addition: immediate termination, forfeiture of any pending bonuses, and — where warranted — referral to collections and the courts, with you responsible for the company's attorney's fees and costs. We document every client touchpoint (GPS, timestamps, messages, ratings), so circumvention is provable.

✓ The legitimate path

If a client genuinely wants to hire you directly and you want to accept, there is a legal way: have the client contact Genevieve to arrange a one-time placement buy-out. Once paid, we release the non-solicitation in writing and everyone is protected. Do it the right way and there's no problem — do it behind the company's back and the terms above apply.

Grounds for Suspension & Termination
Noir & Neat reserves the right to suspend or terminate your contractor relationship at any time. Suspension is temporary; termination is permanent. All actions are logged with the specific reason in our internal records. Below are the most common grounds. This list is not exhaustive — egregious misconduct not listed here may also result in immediate termination at our sole discretion.
⏸ Grounds for Suspension (Temporary)
  • Three consecutive low client ratings (below 4.0 stars) — pending quality review
  • Repeated late check-ins (3+ in any 30-day period)
  • Job acceptance rate below 60% for more than 30 consecutive days
  • Active customer complaint pending investigation
  • First written warning for SOP violations (uniform, GPS, photo documentation)
  • Background check anomaly requiring re-verification
  • Failure to complete required training within 30 days of onboarding

Suspended contractors are notified by email and SMS. You may be reactivated after the underlying issue is resolved (typically within 14–30 days). During suspension, you cannot accept new jobs but may complete jobs already in progress.

✕ Grounds for Termination (Permanent)
  • Sustained rating below 3.7 stars over 15+ consecutive jobs
  • Fourth cancellation within any 90-day period
  • Confirmed theft of property, supplies, or money from a client
  • Causing significant property damage and attempting to conceal it
  • Violation of Event Cleanup discretion clauses — photographing guests, consuming alcohol/food at event, sharing event details publicly or privately
  • No-show without notice on 3+ scheduled jobs
  • Failed re-background check or undisclosed criminal activity
  • Directly soliciting or booking with our customers outside the Noir & Neat platform
  • Harassment, threats, or inappropriate conduct toward clients, other contractors, or staff
  • Use of cleaning solvents, alcohol, or controlled substances on the job
  • Misrepresentation of identity, credentials, or employment history
  • Repeated suspensions for the same underlying issue (third suspension within 12 months)

Terminated contractors are notified by email. Payment for all completed jobs is processed in the next regular payout cycle. Upcoming bookings are reassigned. Termination is final and may not be appealed.

✓ Your Right to Notice

In most cases (except confirmed theft, harassment, or willful misconduct), you will receive at least one written warning via email before suspension. You always have the right to know the specific reason for any suspension or termination — ask Genevieve directly at 832-398-3087 or genevieve@noirandneatcleaningco.com.
